Snags with the Magento importer

There are certain common issues that might occur while using the Magento Importer app.

Inadequate memory

The Magento Importer app utilizes the Magento API to extract data out of a Magento store. If the store owner has a big number of clienteles or products in their Magento store, then it may become essential to increase the extent of memory available to the Magento store to make way for the API to function appropriately. There is a way to do it:

Try to edit the .htaccess file. The default file from Magento has this line that sets the limit:

php_value memory_limit 128M

Try altering it to 256M or more:

php_value memory_limit 256M

Magento API at the URL is non-existent

This fault occurs when the connection to Magento’s API cannot be established. The most common solution for this problem is to add /index.php at the end of the Magento store URL.

Contact Support

If the glitches with the Magento importer is not solved using the above techniques then it is advisable to contact the CartFace technical support team via phone, email and chat for help.
